The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2010 with an intake of 60. The first batch of students graduated from this department in July2014.
With the present world of automation / computerization / industrialization and fast developments, Electrical and Electronics becomes the main branch and nervous system. To meet the needs and challenges, the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Jawahar Engineering College has a firm commitment to develop and produce stalwart Electrical Engineers of high technical knowledge combined with leadership skills, decision making, design capabilities and problem solving.
As a part of the academic plan, the department is making several plans to conduct International conference, National conference, FTDP, Guest lectures, Seminars, Inplant training, Industrial visit and Internship training for student’s development, organised with industrial collaboration.

The importance of measurements is simply eloquently expressed in the following statement of the famous physician Lord Kelvin, “I often say that when you can measure, what you are speaking about and can express it in number, you know something about it; when you cannot express it in numbers your knowledge is of meager and unsatisfactory kind”. The advancement of science and technology is dependent upon a parallel progress in measurements techniques. To keep ourselves updated in modern developments and technologies a practical knowledge of measurements and measurements systems is essential. Power System Simulation Lab
I. To develop simple C programs for the following basic requirements:
a) Formation of bus admittance and impedance matrices and network solution.
b) Power flow solution of small systems using simple method, Gauss-Seidel P.F.method.
c) Unit Commitment and Economic Dispatch.
II. To acquire experience in the usage of standard packages for the following analysis / simulation / control functions.
d) Steady-state analysis of large system using NRPF and FDPF methods.
e) Quasi steady-state (Fault) analysis for balanced and unbalanced faults.
f) Transient stability simulation of multi machine power system.
g) Simulation of Load-Frequency Dynamics and control of power system.
Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab
Programming using instructions of the 8085, 8086 processors and 8051 Microcontroller.
